It's Early in the Morning...

Sat Sep 13, 2008, 4:30 AM
...and there's nothing better to do. Hahaa.

I also just realized that I never mentioned that I'm at school now. *dances* I love it here. I'm part of many circusy things. I can now walk on stilts [I really am quite proud of that fact...]. Yes.

In other news, Mother and K'Ehleyr are visiting me today. This excites me quite a bit, especially since Kay has not yet seen my campus at alllll. Yaay, I get to play tour guide! Wheee.

Anyway. That's all. I was basically just sick of looking at my last journal post, and I happened to have some time on hand before I ran across the hall to shower.

Have a good 'un. :D

Another meme snitched from author-child. XD

Fri Aug 22, 2008, 9:59 AM
hahaa.

How old are you?
Eighteen.

Gender?
Female, but I feel that gender is relative, in a lot of ways. I never think of myself as female. Or male, for that matter.

Gender preference?
I'm pansexual. =]

Your honest balls-to-the-wall opinion on:
Furries:
I'm not into them, but I guess I'm not entirely against them. It really depends.

Fangirls:
Oh God. It depends on the intensity. Screaming, glomping, squealing-in-Japanese fangirls are NOT cute, no matter what anyone thinks. I definitely fangirl about things, but I try to keep it to myself. Hahaa.

Fanboys:
Pretty much the same for the fangirls. Hahaa.

Yaoi:
I love it. Hahaa. I also agree with author-child; shojo-style lovers are never totally sincere...for the most part, I mean. I'm definitely not against heterosexual love, but I'd like to see it done and made genuine.

Critique, regardless of art form or genre:
Constructive criticism and critique = excellent.
Incessant praise = not good.
Flaming = sinful.

Manga style Illustration:
It depends almost entirely upon the artist. Pre-packaged, popular manga/anime style makes me a little queasy. I like Yun Kouga a lot, and a select few others. I definitely do choose manga based on art quality...hahaa.

Manga style Illustration with a Western influence:
If it's done well, I'm all for it.

Rap music:
I'm not a fan.

Mainstream pop music:
Garbage. Honestly.

‘GRRL’ Gamers:
I'm fine with female gamers; a good number of my friends are female gamers.

Girls in general:
Well, that depends on the girls, I'm pretty sure. The girls I hang out with are pretty much amazing. A lot of girls tend to bother me. XD

Men in general:
I'm a bit of a feminist, so my natural inclination is to call them all pigs. XD Naw,they're all right. I'm friends with a good number of guys. People are people to me. =]

American politics; especially George W. Bush:
I hate politics, and...I'm not terrifically fond of Bush. At all.

Gay people (boy-boy, girl-girl):
People are people, no matter who they sleep with. =]

Bisexuality:
the way most people are, I think. I'm pansexual, which means I don't really discriminate as to what gender [male, female, or other] I could fall in love with, or what have you. So I'm definitely cool with bisexuality.

Japan:
Absolutely fucking amazing, and the best ten days of my life thus far. Yes, I've been. It's an amazing place. Everything about it reeks culture and coolness. I would write more about it, but I feel like...I can't find the right words to describe it.

Pedophiles/Pedophilia:
That depends. Rape is never cool. But if you love someone considerably younger...well, that's different.

The internet male/ Tough guy:
I'm not sure what the category means.

Roleplayers:
Fun group of people. =]

Myspace:
Life-sucker-outer. Hahaa.

Sex Industry:
Ridiculous. XD

Anime:
That really, really depends on the anime. Akira = excellent. Some others...not so much.

America:
I live there. Hahaa. I like the idea; I hate what it's become.

THIS IS A CHALLENGE FOR YA'LL.

I'm going to write the first few lines of random songs on my Windows player, which is on shuffle. YOUR job is to guess 'em. You get major cool points if you caaaan.

Maybe even an actual prize if I feel up to it. :XD: Good luck!

1. "Baby, I've been waiting/I've been waiting night and day./I didn't see the time;/I waited half my life away."
2. "Aging eyesore/Nearly nowhere/found,/unearthed..." [That's a tricky one...]
3. "I heard that there's a secret chord, that David played/And it pleased the Lord..." "Hallalujah," by Leonard Cohen.
4. "White on white/translucent black capes/back on the rack..." :XD:
5. "Say goodbye, my one true lover,/And we'll steal a lover's song..."
6. "Dance me through your beauty with a burning violin/Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in..."
7. "You toss in a word/and I'm your villain..." [That one's too easy.]
8. "There's a devil waiting outside your door/There's a devil waiting outside your door,/and he's bucking and braying and pawing at the floor..."
9. "There's such a sad love deep in your eyes/A kind of pale jewel..."
10. "I can't seem to face up to the facts/I'm tense and nervous, and I can't relax..."
11. "So far away/Come on, I'll take you far away..." [That's a toughie...]
12. "As the snow flies/On a cold and gray Chicago morn, a poor little baby child is born..."
13. "Cultivating sounds/For all the mothers who come near/To find out..."
14. "You are the latest contender/You are the ones that remember/You are the villain who sends a/Line of dark fantastic passion..." "Darts of Pleasure," by Franz Ferdinand.
15. "Some say you're troubled, boy/Just because you like to destroy/All the things that bring the idiots joy.../Well, what's wrong with a little destruction?"
16. "When the sun goes down/And the bats are back to bed/The brothers come 'round/I get out of my dirty bed..."
17. "Suzanne takes you down to her place near the river/You can hear the boats go by, you can spend the night beside her..." [EASY.]
18. "Setsunasa no kagiri made dakishimete mo..." [This is hard. And Japanese. :XD:]
19. "The devil moon took me through the alley,/Down by the kardomah and the centrale..."
20. "Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue/Thought I heard you talking softly..."
21. "Take these shoes,/Click-clacking down some dead-end street..."
22. "And what costume shall the poor girl wear..?" [If I gave anymore, it would be obvious...]
23. "When I was a young man I carried my pack/And I lived the free life of a rover..."
24. "In the western sky,/My kingdom come....So still/So dark all over Europe..."
25. "Nagaredasu watashi no namida hibi wareta GLASS dama nijinda anata..." [Another Japanese! Different singer/group than the other one.]
26. "Mary, grab the baby/The river's rising..."
27. "It's coming through a hole in the air,/from those nights in Tiananmen Square..."
28. "They made a statue of us/And put it on a mountaintop..."
29. "When there's nowhere else to run/Is there room for one more son..?"
30. "After a fashion, which is/purely the mood that takes me...I'll set my mouth on fire..."

There, I gave you a nice selection.

I'll probably end up doing this again in the future.

Yes, I know I'm a whore.

:XD:

EDIT: Updated, and so far Beth's the only one who's answered...she's only gotten two so far. :XD:

Just a fun music survey...BECAUSE I CAN, DAMN IT. :XD:

How do you feel right now?
"Leavin' on Your Mind," Patsy Cline. :XD: Not really...but this is a great song. :D

What did you dream about last night?
"Gessekai," BUCK-TICK. It's possible; your guess as to what I dreamt is as good as mine, quite honestly. :XD:

What song will you have at your funeral?
"Fish & Bird," Tom Waits. Well, it's appropriately moody. :XD:

What song reminds you of the person you like at the moment?
"The Corpse Bride," Danny Elfman. From the soundtrack to the movie, yes. And...it doesn't really do anything for the question, considering it's not exactly applicable. :XD:

What song describes your parents?
"Closing Time," Leonard Cohen. Uh. Not exactly. :XD:

What song is about your love life?
"Rio," Duran Duran. :XD: These answers are ridiculous. Seriously.

What best describes your friends?
"Dirty Old Town," the Pogues. I think I have to agree with this one, actually...

"I met my love by the gas works wall,
Dreamed a dream by the old canal.
I Kissed my girl by the factory wall...
Dirty old town,
Dirty old town..."

Basically, the ol' hometown. It's a good song, if a little odd. :XD:

What best describes your workmates?
"Ave Maria," Charlotte Church. Somehow, no. :XD:

what song will you play at your wedding?
"No Place Like London," Stephen Sondheim, from Sweeney Todd. That bodes ill. :XD:

Describe your first kiss..
"40'," Franz Ferdinand.

"As I glance once upon the foam
Forty feet beneath my feet,
The coldest calm falls
Through the molten veins,
Cooling all the blood to slush
That congeals around the again..."

...

? :XD:

What do you want for christmas?
"She Fell Away," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Makes no senseeeee. :XD:

What song describes the day you had today?
"Slowly Goes the Night," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Actually, my day was quite pleasant, and this is quite a sad song. :XD:

What song describes your future?
"Sarah," Trevor Jones, from Labyrinth. It's instrumental! :XD: I'm assuming that means I'm going to wind up in some fantasy land with a Goblin King in love with me. I wouldn't mind; Jareth is hot shit. :XD:

What is your favourite thing to do ?
"Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!" Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Zombies? :XD: Looooove this song. But I really don't see the significance... oh wait!

"He stockpiled weapons and took potshots in the air;
He feasted on their lovely bodies like a lunatic
And wrapped himself up in their soft yellow hair..."

It's all so very clear now. :XD:

Who do you love?
"By the Sea," Stephen Sondheim, from Sweeney Todd. Mrs. Lovett!!!:heart:: She's one sexy lady. :D

What do you feel like doing right now?
"Midnight Show," the Killers.

"If you can keep a secret,
I've got a blanket in the backseat on my mind..."

Oh baby. :XD:

What are your plans for the weekend?
"No Time to Cry," Sisters of Mercy. Pretty much. I'll be busy. :XD:

What is the worst way to spend the day?
"Tupelo," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It's no fun to spend the day in a town what's getting demolished by the wrath of God. Yeah, I'd say that's just about right. :XD:

What do you wish you could change?
"Sisters of Mercy," Leonard Cohen. I wish I could change prostitution? Actually, I don't really care about prostitution; to each her own. :XD:

At least, I think that's what this song is about. I still haven't quite figured it out, but I've been trying. :XD:

What song describes the person you last spoke to on msn?[I'm going with AIM]
"Deanna," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Tisha..? I suppose I could see that...murder plots...stealing souls...sounds like Ms. Tisha Starr to meeee. :D

What song reminds you of your top friend on myspace?
"Poor Thing," Stephen Sondheim, from Sweeney Todd. Maybe the rape bit...not because she was raped, but because I had a dream she was pregnant because of rape. :XD:

What is your secret desire?
"Black Hair," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. To "bank my kisses in black hair?" I'm dying my hair black again tomorrow...I doubt that's a secret desire...I talk about needing to dye my hair all the time. :XD:

Who are you?
"Spell," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Too many Bad Seeds songs on here...:XD: Let's see...

"And I'm full of love,
And I'm full of wonder...
And I'm full of love,
And I'm falling under
Your spell..."

:D

What did you think about school?
"I Don't Want Your Love," Duran Duran. ?!

"I like noise, 'cause I like waking up the house!
I cannot sit down; I can't shut my mouth -
But when you understand me,
You might feel good around me..."

That's about right. :D

Where do you wish you were?
"In My Secret Life," Leonard Cohen. TRUE THAT. :XD:

What are you hungry for?
"The Mercy Seat," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Oh God...THE CHAIR?! It's a song about capital punishment...how it's basically an act of mercy...oh my. :XD:

What are you thinking about?
"Planet Earth," Duran Duran. I am? :XD:

Who is thinking about you?
"Heartaches," Pasty Cline. Whoever is has heartburn. :XD: I love this song...

What is your favourite song ever?
"Sally MacLennane," the Pogues. I do really love this song, actually. :XD:

Do you like these surveys?
"Wait," Stephen Sondheim/Sweeney. I do. :XD:

What are you going to call this survey?
"Well of Misery," Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Pleasant. I'm probably going to do this again on my MySpace blog. I love these. I've done this one three times all ready. :XD:

[You're quite welcome to take this, if you wish.]

  • Mood: Peaceful
  • Listening to: Various =]
